Program for the job search
Instead of a training bootcamp, we provide career mentorship and technical interview prep
Your career mentor will be your main point of contact throughout Pathrise, extensively trained and equipped with research into industry recruiting and hiring.
In addition to your career mentor, you will also be able to work with a variety of industry mentors who are experienced engineers at top tech companies.
We asked recruiters how to create a resume and portfolio destined for success. We'll teach you the best strategies we know to optimize everything.
Discuss how you'll prioritize what topics to focus on, learn how to pick a programming language for interviewing, and map out a personalized study plan.
Pathrise will help you source opportunities and network effectively by breaking down tactics that have been tested for hundreds of fellows before.
We teach the 4 core axes in the rubric behind most company interview processes and share specific tactics to save time and improve perception.
Through our behavioral matrix, we'll teach you how to nail your elevator pitch and draft answers to questions we predict with data.
We help you break down search problems, tree problems, and a variety of advanced data structures, from common errors to in depth solutions.
Experience rigorous mock interview sessions as well as utilize weekly reflections with your mentor to improve after your real interviews.
We continue with search algorithm fundamentals for a while before transitioning into advanced and challenging topics like dynamic programming.
For each offer you get, your mentor will help you negotiate for more money and better benefits and leverage our growing network of fellows.
Additional workshops happen all throughout the program on easier and harder topics, to support a variety of skill levels and further practice.
After the first 8 weeks, the program continues. We continue to host additional workshops and support you with weekly 1-on-1's until you land a job that you're satisfied with. We don't think about Pathrise like a course that's done after you take it - we only consider ourselves successful when you have a signed offer in hand!
Engineering Fellow Spotlight
I would ask myself how I know if anything is working. I would apply to job portals and not know what happened
afterwards. Everything was in the dark.
I quickly realized career fairs and other events weren't going to make me stand out very much, and was
frustrated with how unproductive my job search was.
My mentors gave me not only advice on how to improve, but also honest feedback where they were unafraid to
tell me what I was doing wrong and how I could improve. Once I realized how upfront and direct they would be,
I knew I had made the right choice.
Engineering Mentor Spotlight
Brian was a senior software engineer for Zazzle, one of the largest product
customization marketplaces in the world. There he led several features on the mobile team. Before Zazzle,
Brian was a software engineer at CBS and founded an award-winning startup called
Spondevu. Brian has gotten his students placed everywhere from Google to Facebook using his insider knowledge.
Now, Brian works directly with Pathrise fellows on technical interview preparation and how to find the best
possible job in the field of software engineering.
Don't pay until you get paid
There is no upfront cost required to enroll in Pathrise; we only get paid when you do. The program is based on an income share agreement. The way it works is only after you get hired, you pay back a small percentage of your income for a limited time as you earn it. As part of the agreement, you don't pay anything, even from your current job or income, until you get paid from your new job first.
The first two weeks of Pathrise are completely free with no income share agreement required.
If you aren't placed within 12 months, then you can waive your income share and pay nothing.
Take the next step
If you're an engineer, you should sign up for Pathrise if...
You are tired of sending applications into online portal black holes and want to work with technical recruiters to teach you how to beat the system.
You'd like to ace your technical interviews through practice and guidance on topics ranging from search problems to dynamic programming.
You would benefit from 1-on-1 behavioral interview preparation to present yourself as a well-rounded and effective communicator.
You want to have insider knowledge on compensation data and negotiation policies for software engineers to make sure you're compensated well.
