What does Interviewing.io do?

Interviewing.io is a platform where users can book practice technical and behavioral interviews with real interviewers and engineers. Users can choose between two options. The first is a free model where you can practice with peers. The second is a paid model where you can book a senior engineer from companies like Google and Facebook and get actionable feedback on your interview. Users can choose the type of interview to practice. Options include: data structures and algorithms, systems design, machine learning, front-end engineering, engineering management, and behavioral.

If you do well over the course of your practice interviews you can book real technical interviews with companies who hire through Interviewing.io. The entire process is anonymous, so you are being judged only on your skillset and not on your resume or background. You can “unmask” afterward if you would like to move forward in their hiring process.

Users can also sign up for mentorship sessions with professionals. The booking process is the same as the interviews, but the goal of the meeting varies based on what the user wants to cover. They also offer personalized 1-on-1 courses to help people master data structures and algorithms or machine learning questions. Courses are also available to help people prepare for specific company interview processes like Google, Facebook, and Amazon.

Who is Interviewing.io for?

Software engineers who are looking for mock interviews or training can benefit from Interviewing.io. Those who use this platform need to have some background experience in programming and computer science, but the platform also offers mentorship sessions and courses meant to help engineers of all levels.

What does Interviewing.io cost? How much work is involved?

Interviewing.io is open to everyone and users can do unlimited mock interviews. In addition, they can choose between free mock interviews with their peers (other users on the platform) or premium mock interviews with experienced, professional interviewers from FAANG companies. Users can also choose from interviews in data structures and algorithms, systems design, machine learning, front-end, behavioral, or engineering management. The sessions range in price from $100-$250 depending on the offering.

Ratings and reviews

On Blind, users reported finding roles at tech companies like Uber, Lyft, and Twitter through Interviewing.io. There is only one review on G2, but the user says they enjoy using the platform. They explain, “It’s a great platform to practice for interviews and on top of that, if you do well on an interview, you can always unmask and move forward to an onsite which is awesome.”

Alternatives to Interviewing.io

Interviewing.io is unique because rather than providing a list of technical questions, they pair you with a seasoned interviewer from a FAANG company who will conduct a mock interview or a mentorship and coaching session with you in your chosen area of focus If you are looking for similar programs that help you practice your technical interviews, there are a number of alternatives
